Structure and Organization of the Old Army - Cavalry - Hussars - Regiments
Hussars were the classic light cavalry and were introduced in Prussia in 1721.
In 1914, in addition to the Life Guard Hussar Regiment (Potsdam), there were 20 line regiments, of which three were Saxon units (Nos. 18, 19, 20).
