New Prussian Uniforms in the Year 1820

Preface

Depiction of the Royal Prussian Infantry in 36 figures from which the uniforming of each Armée-Corps, the insignia of each rank, and the positions of the man prescribed in the exercise regulations for the infantry — the march, the posture and grips with the rifle, etc. — can be derived.

By order of His Majesty the King, drawn from life by Friedrich Lieder and engraved in aqua tinta by Professor Jügel.

After the faithful reprint of the 1820 edition published by Herbert Buber/ Buch- und Kunstverlag in Potsdam. Reprint published before 1945, probably in the 1930s..

Depiction of the Royal Prussian Cavalry from which the uniform of each regiment, the insignia of each rank, and the positions of the men and the handling of the various weapons prescribed in the exercise regulations for the cavalry can be derived.
