Uniforms and Equipment of the Old Army - Cavalry - Uhlans - general remarks on the Württemberg Uhlans
The Württemberg Uhlans essentially wore the uniform of the Prussian Uhlans, i.e. cap, ulanka, waist sash dark blue; on the black-lacquered tschapka, of course, the Württemberg coat of arms in nickel silver.
The distinction color (piping of the cap, collar and sleeve cuffs of the ulanka and parade frogging on the ulanka and tschapka) varied:
No. 19 ponceau red and
No. 20 lemon yellow.
Saber belt and bandolier were white; there was no ornamentation on the cartridge pouch.
There were name inscriptions on the epaulettes.
The Württemberg Uhlans wore a nickel-silver mount on the tschapka and decorative fittings like the Württemberg dragoons.
The scale chains were curved.
