The Hussar Regiment Graf Goetz (2nd Silesian) No. 6 had its founding date on 21.11.1808.
It was formed on 21.11.1808 in Frankenstein, Striegau, Nimpsch from the remnants of the depots of various old Prussian cavalry regiments: K 1, 8, 9, 12, D II, III, XI, XII and H 1, 3, 4, 6, 11.
The first regimental commander was (Major) Friedrich Wilhelm v. St. Paul; the last was Paul Frhr. v. Troschke.
Replacement personnel came from Lower Silesia until 1818, thereafter from Upper Silesia.
In 1914 the staff and the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th squadrons were stationed in Leobschütz. The 3rd squadron was in Ratibor.
The formation was disbanded on October 1, 1919 after the First World War.
The attila was green (dark green) with yellow cord trim. The kolpak of the fur cap was red.
The cap's trimming band was ponceau red with yellow piping.
The remounts came from the depots Wehrse and Sperling (as of 1877).
