Uniforms and Equipment of the Old Army - Cavalry - Cuirassiers - The Teller Cap and the Peaked Cap
The teller cap shown here was one of the official items of clothing of the cuirassiers.
The crown was circular and slightly larger than the lower hat circumference = head circumference.
The cuirassiers' cap was made of white cloth with a facing band and a projecting rim of the crown in the regiment's respective facing color.
On the facing band was the Prussian cockade.
Above it the imperial cockade was attached.
The white teller cap was also worn with the blue tunic.
