The Cuirassier Regiment von Seydlitz (Magdeburg) No. 7 had 07.03.1815 as its date of foundation.

It was formed on 07.03.1815 in Landsberg a. W., created from men from East Prussia, Silesia and Brandenburg as well as from the Saxon Leib-Cuirassier Guard.

The enlisted replacements came from the Province of Saxony and the vicinity of Halberstadt and Quedlinburg.

The last regimental commander was Axel Wilhelm Albrecht, Freiherr von Wachtmeister.

The regiment was disbanded after the First World War on 01.10.1919.
